Kristen Stewart isn’t known for being very personable, but perhaps she’s looking to change the way people view her in 2013.
Known for being standoffish – she even called herself “miserable” in October — Life & Style’s best-dressed star of 2012 says she’s the exact opposite.
“I really love people. You can’t not as an actor,” she told the magazine, admitting she does find it a bit odd talking to reporters. “It’s just strange meeting someone and going, Okay, you start at square one and I will try and make up for what you already think you know about me.”
EXCLUSIVE: Kristen Stewart is Life & Style's best-dressed star of the year
Ever since it was revealed that the On the Road star was cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, in July, Kristen has been a fixture in the spotlight.
Shortly after publicly apologizing to Rob, the pair rekindled their romance.
So how has she dealt with everything that followed the shocking news?
“I have realized that you can close yourself off to life if you put walls up, but it’s a difficult thing,” the star, who was named the highest paid actress in June with earnings of $34.5 million from May 2011 to May 2012, shares. “You can’t see over, people can’t see in, and you also can’t see out. So I’ve gotten quite comfortable with just being unafraid. I keep saying the same thing: it’s not about being fearless but really just embracing the fears and using them.”
As Life & Style reported this week, Rob decided to go home for the holidays without Kristen.
EXCLUSIVE: Robert Pattinson goes home for the holidays without Kristen Stewart
“Kristen was all set to go to London with Rob for Christmas, but they got into a huge fight and he told her that she should stay in LA,” an insider tells the new issue of Life & Style, on newsstands now.
But regardless of what’s going on in her love life, Kristen is focused on living everyday to its best.
“I am not closed off to anything right now,” she says. “That is what I was saying about not having any more walls up. I don’t want to deprive myself of any bit of life.”
