Amicable Exes! Kristen Stewart Gushes Over Robert Pattinson Playing Batman: ‘I’m So Happy for Him’
Just because Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson didn’t make it as a couple, doesn’t mean that the former flames don’t still support each other! In fact, the Charlie’s Angels actress, 29, recently gushed over Robert, 33, landing the role of Batman in the upcoming remake.
“I feel like he’s the only guy that could play that part,” Kristen expressed to Variety at the Toronto International Film Festival. “I’m so happy for him. It’s crazy … I’m very, very happy about that. I heard that and I was like, ‘Oh man!’ It’s awesome.” Needless to say, we are experiencing some serious Edward and Bella feels right now.
Kristen also went on to note that Robert has the “perfect cheekbones” to pull off the whole Bruce Wayne look. Ummm, yeah, you can say that again. Of course, Robert himself is just as excited to play Batman. However, due to an unfortunate leak in May, the former Twilight star feared that his dream was shattered.
“When that thing leaked, I was f–king furious,” Robert confessed to Variety. “Everyone was so upset. Everyone was panicking from my team. I sort of thought that had blown up the whole thing.”
ICYMI: Robert hadn’t even auditioned for the role of Batman when the press released the story that he was cast. “It was terrifying,” he continued. “I was like, ‘Oh f–k! Does that screw me because they are so intent on secrecy?’”
Thankfully, that wasn’t the case! After all, Robert has been chasing this role since he was a boy. He told the publication that he loved Tim Burton’s Batman movies growing up. “When I was a kid, it was the only outfit that I had!”
