Comfortable in her own skin! Bebe Rexha shared an empowering message after being told that she was “too old” to flaunt her gorgeous figure. The singer crafted the most epic clap back directed at an executive who told her to cover up and behave a certain way as she approaches her 30th birthday at the end of August. Considering she’s not one to be walked all over, Bebe took to Instagram to call out the hurtful words.

“I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was ‘confusing,'” she began her story, which accompanied a sultry black-and-white photo of her posing in her underwear. “Because I’m a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that’s not what female songwriters are [supposed] to do, especially for my age. I’m 29. I’m fed up with being put in a box. I make my own rules.”

I recently had a MALE music executive tell me that I was getting too old and that my brand was “confusing.” Because… I’m a songwriter and I post sexy pics on my Instagram and that’s not what female songwriters are suppose to do, especially for my age. I’m 29. I’m fed up with being put in a box. I make my own rules. I’m tired of women getting labeled as “hags” when they get old and guys get labeled as sexy with age. Anyways, I’m turning 30 on August 30 and you know what, I’m not running away from it. I’m not gonna lie about my age or sing songs that I feel will sell better because they sound “younger.” I’m gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I’m wiser, I’m stronger and TRUST ME I’m a much better lover than I was 10 years ago. Picture dedicated to the Exec who said I am too old to be sexy. Is this too sexy for you?

The “Say My Name” artist then called out the double standard when it comes to aging. “I’m tired of women getting labeled as ‘hags’ when they get old and guys get labeled as sexy with age,” she noted. The blonde bombshell acknowledged her big birthday milestone coming up and is ready to conquer it head-on. “Anyways, I’m turning 30 on August 30 and you know what, I’m not running away from it. I’m not gonna lie about my age or sing songs that I feel will sell better because they sound ‘younger.'”

The Grammy nominee is proud of the things she’s accomplished in her 20s, and it’s made her into the badass she is now. She even divulged that she’s learned some … tricks … along the way. “I’m gonna celebrate my age because you know what, I’m wiser, I’m stronger and TRUST ME I’m a much better lover than I was 10 years ago,” she quipped.

The starlet closed her post by writing, “Picture dedicated to the Exec who said I am too old to be sexy. Is this too sexy for you?”

Keep slaying, girl!
