Working hard! Jenna Dewan took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 24, to give fans a glimpse of her intense workouts. TBH, we’re thinking it may serve as the perfect inspo.
“Today’s burn brought to you by @physicalperfectionpilates 💪🏽 #workoutwednesday,” she captioned the video. The 38-year-old has one of the best bods in Hollywood, so it’s no shocker she spends plenty of time staying in shape.
In a 2018 interview with Health, Jenna opened up about the body part she works out the most, and it turns out it’s her booty. “I work my literal ass off for my ass!” she said at the time. “That’s the way it is. When you dance all the time, you’re constantly using that muscle. When you stop dancing that much, that’s the first thing that goes. So, we focus a lot on that because everyone likes a perky butt. Also, my stomach after baby is something I have to put a lot of extra effort into. So, for abs, Jennifer [Johnson] does these exercises where you’re in a plank and you move your legs all different ways and it engages you.”
It’s true! Jenna has been dancing all her life and she showcased those skills in the 2006 film Step Up, which is where she met her baby daddy/ex-husband Channing Tatum. “I do dance-based workouts with Jennifer [in Los Angeles],” the brunette beauty continued. “She’s a trainer who is also a dancer and she makes it fun for me. If it’s not fun, I won’t go. We dance, we do routines for 45 minutes to an hour, whatever time we have. It depends on the week, but if I get one or two workouts in, I’m happy.”
However, it’s not all about staying active. Food is super important in maintaining a healthy physique. “I eat mostly vegan, but I’m very accommodating, maybe because I’ve lived with a man for 11 years who’s not vegetarian,” she said at the time, referring to Channing, 39. But now that she’s with Steve Kazee, who knows how her diet has changed!
