Katie Holmes Is Tired of Dating Jamie Foxx in Secret After 4 Years

After four years of dating, all of which were spent out of the spotlight, Katie Holmes is reportedly ready to make her relationship with Jamie Foxx public, but he’s not so sure. According to a source, the actor doesn’t want to rock the boat.

“Katie is ready to go more public with her relationship, but Jamie is trying to keep things quiet and that is disappointing to her,” the source tells Hollywood Life. “Not only has she fallen in love with him, but [daughter] Suri has too which makes it more frustrating for Katie.”

The source adds, “Jamie has been a big part of their life for a while now and aside from the occasional walk on the beach, the pair have kept their private life private. Katie has made it clear to Jamie that they have nothing to fear and no reason to keep things hush. Katie is proud to be with Jamie and wants to feel free to go out to dinner, the theater, Disneyland with Suri, or anywhere they want together.”

Earlier this year, the Ray actor, 49, was on BBC series The Graham Norton Show, where he opened up about his love life, and, as expected, did not mention Katie. “It’s tough out there,” he said. “I am getting older, but people think I am younger because I hang out with Kanye… so I see younger girls. It’s terrible.” He went on to explain the reaction he gets when younger girls find out his real age. “When I told them how old I was you would’ve thought I told them I had a terminal disease.”

Jokes aside, Jamie and Katie, 38, have been meeting in undisclosed locations for years, donning disguises, and publicly insisting they’re just friends, but an insider confirmed to Life & Style that Katie is tired of hiding. “This is not at all how Katie saw her life going,” the insider explained. “But she will take this over nothing.”

While Katie and Jamie’s relationship didn’t blossom until well after her 2012 divorce from Tom Cruise, the pair believed Tom, who shares 11-year-old daughter Suri with Katie, would be furious if he found out. Recently, they snuck away for a romantic getaway in Paris, where Jamie was filming Robin Hood, and spent most of their time holed up in at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme Hotel.

Before that, the duo was caught by a fan eating a cozy dinner together in NYC, despite the fact that both were wearing oversized hats and sunglasses. To add fuel to the fire, Jamie called his relationship with the actress “fake news,” which is the last thing she wants to hear.

“Katie’s friends are telling her that if he isn’t willing to step up and be there for her as a true partner, it’s time for her to move on,” another insider said. “But she really loves him and can’t seem to let go.” A third source added, “They want her to find a man she can be seen with, travel with… A man who can walk her down the red carpet.”

Life & Style also reported that the couple is ready to tie the knot — but if Jamie has the final word, it will be as private as their relationship. “They would want it to be a quiet, under-the-radar ceremony in a romantic spot like Italy or the coast of France.”
