Just because Kim Kardashian is one of the most famous women in the world, doesn’t mean she’s immune to judgment. In fact, it’s quite the opposite — especially when it comes to her appearance. That said, the longtime KUWTK star, 38, recently revealed that she’s found a way to turn negative comments into workout fuel!

“I do have cellulite. I am photographed all the time. For me, I always use it as motivation even when people are really unjustly critical,” Kim explained to PEOPLE while promoting her new line of shapewear, Skims. “I just use it as motivation. I want to just work harder to figure out why I am feeling that way.”

In conjunction with public criticism, Kim also admitted that seeing photos of herself often pushes her to focus more on health and fitness. “A few years ago, I was photographed and I had cellulite on my thighs,” she explained, referring to 2017 bikini images of Kim vacationing in Mexico with a group of girlfriends. “I was like, ‘OK … I do not like how I look. I am going to get to the gym.’”

While Kim is no doubt dedicated to maintaining her figure, she did clarify that she tries to take it “easy” on herself. “You’re never going to be perfect,” the proud mother of four said. “I think life is about being happy and being confident.”

Ultimately, confidence is what her new venture is all about! Skims isn’t meant to perfect or modify anyone’s body. “I use shapewear as a solution to my styling needs,” Kim said. “I always wanted something that would smooth, and sometimes not necessarily change my shape.”

As of Tuesday, September 10, Skims is a bona fide success. The demand was so high that the site crashed. You’ve done it once again, Kim. Bravo!
