Meghan Markle’s Nephew Tyler Dooley Doesn’t Like Being ‘Lumped Together’ With Samantha

Anyone who has been following Meghan Markle and her journey to becoming Duchess of Sussex has probably read about the nasty feud between her and her estranged sister, Samantha Markle, or the one Meghan has with their father, Thomas Markle. Needless to say, there have been fights abound for Meghan and her father’s side of the family. Now, Meghan’s nephew, Tyler Dooley, revealed he hasn’t spoken to his aunt Samantha Markle for more than 10 years, and he isn’t happy about being “lumped together” with her, in an interview with Daily Star Online.

The cannabis farmer from Oregon, who launched a marijuana strain called “Markle Sparkle” ahead of the royal wedding, said that, like his Aunt Meg, he too has shunned Samantha. “I have been portrayed in a negative light because of the actions of some people in my family but that’s not me,” Tyler told Daily Star Online.

“I haven’t spoken to Samantha and the people who are being negative in the media for over 10 years, yet everyone gets lumped together,” he continued. Tyler is the son of the Duchess of Sussex’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., and Tracy Dooley.

In order to get people to see who he really was, Tyler decided to appear on MTV‘s The Royal World so he could clear his name. “In my local community I’ve earned my respect but then people are judging me on the actions of others,” said the 26-year-old, who has “shunned” the Markle surname and taken his mother’s instead. “That’s why I did the show, to show people the real me.”

We feel for Meghan and her family struggles — everyone in the Markle family seems to have different recollections of the past events that brought them to this point, but we hope they all can soon set aside their differences in the name of the holiday.
