WTF? Nikki Bella Reveals She and John Cena Are “Just Friends” After Reconciliation Rumors Swirl
What in tarnation is going on here? Fans were shook after Nikki Bella revealed she's "just friends" with John Cena in a heartfelt new video she posted to YouTube. The Total Bellas star updated the world on her relationship status after all of the on-again, off-again rumors. Recently, it seemed like the WWE sweethearts were back together after calling off their wedding in April, but Nikki wanted everyone to know that's not the case.
"Because I am a reality star, and I do have a reality show… I feel like I have to kinda say what's the update on John and I, but right now we're just friends," Nikki revealed on her vlog, which was posted on July 1, and filmed on June 26. She prefaced that by saying, "I think it's hard for people to understand because we film and then things get shown a few months after." Many of her followers were convinced they worked things out, especially since John said he would "love" to have a family with Nikki during his appearance on the Today show in May.
Adding more fuel to the fire, John claimed he would reverse his vasectomy to give Nikki a child on a recent episode of Total Bellas, but it was actually filmed months ago too. As far as how much they chat now, Nikki revealed: "We talk every day. He is not only my best friend, but he truly is one of the most amazing people I have ever met," she said. "I do have hope for us." The exes dated for six years and it looks like they haven't given up faith yet.
Several fans have recently slammed Nikki and John's split for being "fake," but Brie Bella finally broke her silence to defend her sibling. "My sister and I are the type of women that when you sign up for a reality show, you have to give the good, the bad, the ugly, the happy, everything! We’ve always stayed true to that,” Brie said during her interview with Metro UK on June 24. “It’s been really hard for her to relive — especially when people call all the drama fake. It’s like, ‘Nope, this is real life!'” Bottom line: don't mess with the Bella twins!
