She’s doing A-OK. Sarah Hyland shared an update after being hospitalized for three days due to chest pains and difficulty breathing. The Modern Family star assured fans that she’s absolutely fine but revealed that doctors weren’t able to pinpoint what was going on with her.

“Thank you guys who have been sending well wishes while I was in the hospital,” the 28-year old began in a video on her Instagram Story on June 25. “Long story short, I went in because I was feeling like I was being choked from whatever’s in the house. And then I was like, ‘Maybe it’s just a coincidence, maybe there’s something actually medically wrong with me.'” She also added that she “couldn’t breathe. Had chest pains. The whole shebang.”

The Vampire Academy star continued her tale, “So, I go to the E.R. after a very long day of work, with lots of makeup on, and I just got home from Friday night.” After three days, the brunette beauty confessed that she was sent home with no further explanation as to why she was feeling so sick. “They ran multiple tests, multiple times, and there’s nothing physically wrong with me. So, wonder why I was there.”

Unfortunately, Sarah is no stranger to being in the hospital. The actress has had a whopping 16 surgeries in her lifetime, including two kidney transplants. “I’ve never been ashamed to show my scars,” she told Self Magazine. “I [had] seven surgeries before the age of four.” The XOXO star divulged during the interview that she does her best to embrace her post-surgery body but it’s definitely different. “When they do a kidney transplant, they connect the new kidney to your old kidneys in front,” she explained. The surgery caused her lower abdomen to stick out, which the New York native calls her “KUPA: kidney upper p—y area. Always have. Will forever.”

She is known for keeping it very real with fans and the topic of body image is no exception. “It’s this bittersweet moment of, ‘Oh my gosh. I have [a] new life,’ but then also being an actress and being held up to this sort of pedestal of how you’re supposed to look,” she admitted. We think she always looks gorgeous.

Glad you’re feeling better, Sarah!
