What was once thought as hopeful news for Bobbi Kristina Brown, has turned into her family's worst nightmare.
After the decision was made yesterday to take the 21-year-old out of a medically-induced coma — which she has been in since Jan. 31 — the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has had a major setback.
"She was taken off the drugs, but she began having violent seizures," a family source tells 'People' magazine. "She is being put back into a coma."

The source adds, "Bobby is beside himself."
Before this recent development, Dr. Subhashini Ramesh, a professor of NeuroCritical Care, who has not treated Bobbi Kristina, explained why a patient would be taken out of a medically induced coma.

She told the magazine the decision is often made to assess if the underlying problem has improved or “to get a sense of what the patient is able to do for [him or herself]."

But things aren't looking good for the young star. "This is a horrible setback. Everyone was hopeful this was the sign that she'd turned the corner. We were so optimistic," the source tells 'People.'
