We are all so anxious to get our Slimming World on this holiday season — especially after hearing the success story of consultant Jodie Rigby-Mee. While she is currently six months pregnant with baby No. 2 — and the organization does not encourage new members who are pregnant to join — she's been with the program for 16 years and credits them for her major health transformation. Slimming World helps those slimming down with meal planning and personal support and is now available in the US as well as the UK.
According to a press release, "Hurtful comments inspired 32-year-old woman to drop 84 pounds and earn title of Top Target Consultant 2017." We asked Jodie to clarify this, and she exclusively recalled to Life & Style, "I was on a holiday with a friend and we were talking to some guys in a bar. I thought it was going really well, and then I went to the washroom, came back, and overheard the guy say, 'Please don't leave me with the fat one.' At that point, it was just heartbreaking and I thought, 'Gosh, I just don't want to be that person anymore.' I went back to the hotel that night and started crying, and as soon as I landed back I was like, This has got to change.'"

Jodie learned about Slimming World through a friend and joined at 18 years old as a member, and today while at her goal weight she works as a consultant for the brand. "I was really nervous," she explained. "I thought of all the excuses I could to get out of actually going, but when I walked in the door I just felt so comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I, for once, wasn't the biggest person in a room. I just felt really comfortable straight away and it was such a welcoming experience."
