Fans Question Tristan Thompson After He Shares Rare Video With True: ‘Where’s Prince?’
Basketball star dad Tristan Thompson took to his Instagram to share a rare video of himself and his daughter, True Thompson, on September 28 — and fans are wondering why he isn’t highlighting his son, Prince more on the social media platform.
“This made my heart smile. I choose to not share too much about my kids on social but this video I couldn’t resist,” the 28-year-old basketball player captioned the clip. “One of my most cherished and prized roles is being a Dad. Daddy loves you!”
Needless to say, some unhappy followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts about Tristan’s penchant for keeping the focus on his daughter. “What about Prince?” one fan questioned. One follower even went as far as to insinuate the doting dad was keeping his son off social media intentionally. “Nah [you] NEVER share Prince literally,” they wrote. Other fans felt the Cavs player was trying to win public favor with the vid. “Trying hard to clean up your image,” one follower said.
And then there were a bunch of folks who hinted at his relationship with True’s mom, Khloé Kardashian, and Prince’s mom, Jordan Craig. “Yah if only [you] could have treated their mommas with respect, hey … too bad … sad,” the fan wrote.
They wouldn’t be the first one to give a serious side-eye to the athlete for the way his last two relationships shook down. Tristan has been getting flack since August 2016, after he seemingly left his then-pregnant ex-girlfriend, Jordan, for Khloé. Jordan and the basketball star welcomed their son shortly after Tristan and Khlo got together, in December 2016. Then in November 2018, Khlo finally broke her silence and slammed rumors that he had left Prince’s mama for her.
Then, news broke that he had been cheating on the KUWTK star in April 2018 — just days before she gave birth to their daughter. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the father of two came under fire a second time back in February, when he was accused of hooking up with Kylie Jenner‘s former BFF, Jordyn Woods, after a late night party. The model maintained her innocence in the scandal, claiming Tristan came onto her with intentions but she didn’t reciprocate.
All in all, the dribbling dad has kept a low profile about all things family since his daughter came into the world — and it’s earned him the reputation of being a hands-off father. Considering he did post a photo of his son at a birthday party in April, we think he’s generally about keeping his private life private on social media. But remember: we don’t know everything about what we can’t see, y’all.
