We hope Aaron Carter is okay!

The pop star — who is Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter's younger brother — was hospitalized on Thursday, June 22 after he revealed that he was getting body shamed by fans. He took to social media to update fans on his health and he took a stance against the internet trolls who he says have bullied him about his weight.

"I'm entirely hurt by a so-called fan that I just encountered she wasn't realizing I was listening, she said I look like I have cancer," the 29-year-old wrote on Twitter. "I've literally had the hardest week of my life, my dad [passed] away, my late sister's birthday anniversary was June 6 [and] people #BodyShame me."

Last month, the "I Want Candy" singer revealed that at 19 years old, he was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia, which he explained is a stress condition that affects his appetite. He said that it's an eating disorder and it's the reason why he's so skinny.

He is currently scheduled to play a handful of concerts, and shortly after the "I Want Candy" singer revealed that he was being body shamed, he checked himself into the emergency room to make sure that his medical condition is under control so that he could perform for his fans.

"Lots of shows lately, had to head up to ER just to get a little check up these shows are crazy lately gotta make sure I stay strong," he wrote on Twitter.

And it looks like his trip to the hospital was a good precautionary measure, because last night, Aaron shared an update with his fans by sharing a photo of him smiling at the camera as he enjoyed a hearty steak and potato dinner.

"My appetite is coming back," he captioned the shot, and added the hashtag "#StayingPositive."
