Drew Barrymore Shares A Selfie Of Herself Crying On Instagram: ‘Some Days Are Difficult’

She’s so brave! On Dec. 20, Drew Barrymore took to Instagram to admit that not everything in Hollywood is as glamorous as it seems. The 43-year-old actress shared a picture of herself hysterically crying following a more glammed up headshot.

“What I propose [is that] some days are great and beautiful,” she began. “Sure, I can be this with two hours of hair and makeup, and amazing photography, and lighting. I also feel beautiful after a sweaty workout… but it all takes work!” Drew continued.

“Which is good, because we can achieve it. What I can’t hide is that some days are difficult and not so pretty (swipe for photo #2) and I realize I am lucky with solvable problems and my gratitude is never-ending. But sometimes life can just get to you and take you down for a minute! But we cry and then pick ourselves up and put one foot in front of the other.” Drew concluded her caption by asking her followers a question: “Can anyone relate?”

Of course, Drew’s fans appreciated her vulnerability and responded with tons of love. “This is totally true. I find it best to just process the pain and let it go. Thank you for sharing with us all. I’m sure many people needed to hear it,” one user commented. “I can relate to this today, more than you know. This post made me feel less alone. Thank you!” added another. Someone else echoed with: “This is just one of the many things that makes you an incredible person.”

We couldn’t agree more with Drew’s sentiment. It’s always refreshing to be reminded that even celebrities have their bad days. We appreciate you and your message, Drew. Keep thriving! P.S. Feel free to drop your skincare routine… even weeping and makeup-free, you’re still killing it.
