Telling it how it is! Margot Robbie is tired of being asked when she plans to get pregnant. In hopes of getting everyone to stop with the invasive questions, she fired back with the perfect response on January 14.

While on tour for her latest film, Mary Queen of Scots, the actress, 28, often gets interrogated about her role as Queen Elizabeth II, who in real life never had kids. For some reason, people keep turning the spotlight on her own maternity plans. It doesn’t sit well with her, obviously. TBH, no woman should ever have to even talk about such a personal topic unless they want to.

The Australian star expressed how upsetting it is for others to touch on such an sensitive subject. “It made me really angry; how dare some old guy dictate what I can and can’t do when it comes to motherhood or my own body?” she told Radio Times magazine.

She then insisted society’s expectations are to blame, but she’s not having it at all. “Unfortunately, it’s a conversation we’re still having. I got married [to film-maker Tom Ackerley, in 2016], and the first question in almost every interview is ‘Babies? When are you having one?’ I’m so angry that there’s this social contract. You’re married, now have a baby. Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.” Shots fired!

The Suicide Squad alum also spoke out against gender inequality in Hollywood. “I wasn’t seeing many scripts where I wanted to play the female role — I always wanted to play the male role. The female roles are always a catalyst for the male story, and that’s unsatisfying,” she explained. “So I was like, ‘Well, we’ll start making our own films, because we can’t just sit around forever and wait for them to come along.'” Margot will channel Barbie in an upcoming live-action film she co-produced. We’re so here for this strong female energy!
