You know a relationship is steady when the parents give you their OK, and that seems to be the case for Timothée Chalamet and Lily Rose Depp. Despite the fact that they’ve only been dating for a few months, things are pretty serious between the two, and Johnny Depp reportedly approves of the Call Me By Your Name actor, 23, dating his daughter, 19.

A source exclusively told Life & Style that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor met Timothée and thinks highly of him. He has even “given them his blessing,” revealed the insider.

For the last few months, it’s become evident to basically everyone how head-over-heels these two are for each other. They’ve been spotted several times getting cozy in the streets of New York since they got together in October. It turns out, it’s not only in public. Johnny has picked up on it too. “He can tell that Timothée adores his daughter and likes that he treats her like a princess,” added the insider.

When asked about Lily Rose at the Golden Globes’ red carpet, the 23-year-old nervously acknowledged the effect she has on him. An Access Hollywood reporter told him: “Lily makes you speechless,” to which he giggled and replied, “Yeah.” Aw!

Prior to Lily and fame, Timothée was linked to Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon back when they both attended LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in 2013. Meanwhile, Lily Rose was in a two-year relationship with British model Ash Stymest before calling it quits in Spring 2018. 

It looks like Timothée and Lily Rose’s relationship is the real deal because it’s not often someone catches the model’s eye. “Lily Rose isn’t one to fall easily, but she completely trusts Timothée,” said the source. We wish these two the best!
