Melanie Griffith’s Plastic Surgery Disaster: Find out What Went Wrong

She’s coming clean.

Celebrities regretting plastic surgery procedures is not an uncommon phenomenon in the world of Hollywood, and Melanie Griffith is now part of the club. In a recent interview with Porter magazine, Melanie came clean about her plastic surgery disaster.

The 59-year-old, who ended her marriage with Antonio Banderas back in 2015, candidly answered questions regarding her changing face, which fans have been noticing in recent months.

While she revealed at first that she wasn’t aware of just how drastic the plastic surgery procedures had changed her, she eventually realized.

“I didn’t [realize] until people started saying. ‘Oh my god, what has she done?!’” the Working Girl actress said.  “I was so hurt I went to a different doctor and he started dissolving all of this sh-t that this other woman doctor had put in. Hopefully, I look more normal now.”

The mother-of-three has recently been making red carpet appearances with daughter Dakota Johnson, which led to major speculation from fans.

Besides uncovering her struggle with bad plastic surgery, Melanie also talked about her battle with addiction, which landed her in rehab twice.

“I was a totally functioning mom,” she said. “I wasn’t like a drunk-on-the-floor, out-of-it person. I didn’t do some things I probably should have done but, mostly, I was there for my kids. They had a sort of privileged gypsy life.”

In addition to Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota, 27, Melanie is also mother to Alexander Bauer, 31, and Stella Banderas, 20.

Even through the relationship trouble, substance abuse, and botched plastic surgery, Melanie seems to be living her life as fully as she can, but not focusing on dating.

“I’m shy with men now,” she said. “I go out with my girlfriends.”
