Former Disney Star Dan Benson Feels 'Badass' Doing Porn: 'Empowerment'
Although we're ecstatic when our favorite stars hook up, especially if they're a weird or quirky pair, there've been a few celebrity couples we've quietly stopped cheering for this year. It's not because they did anything bad or started some drama. One day we just realized that their relationship, although adorable and praise-worthy, just didn't make any sense. Seriously, why are Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton dating? Really? After taking our stan goggles off, we realized we felt this way about a lot of famous relationships, and chances are, you probably feel the same way, too. Below, seven couples we should be happy for, but we're secretly over them.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani
We were a little surprised when these two went official. Sure they had a cute rapport on The Voice, but honestly, judging by that logic, Blake should be in a relationship with Adam Levine, not Gwen. They don't really have much in common (besides having allegedly cheating spouses), both come from opposite music genres, and both rebounded from their divorces rather quickly. However, because we both loved Gwen and Blake individually, part of us felt like we had to like them as a couple.
But honestly, after suffering through two years of their copious amounts of overzealous PDA, we just can't pretend anymore. It's weird. We don't get how their relationship works or how they're even able to have a conversation together. It honestly feels like a rebound relationship that has gone on for too long — but hey, if they're happy, we'll continue to stomach it.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez
Oh, these crazy kids. When will this drama just end already? When Justin and Selena first started dating they were still fairly young, and thus, they were each other's first loves. It was adorable to watch, even when Justin's fans became insane with jealousy or when Selena's closest pals didn't approve. After they broke up, they both went on weird downward spirals (Justin evolving into Vanilla Ice and Selena landing in rehab) that proved that maybe they were better off together. But then, when Selena accused Justin of cheating on her multiple times, we realized their relationship was a chapter that needed to remain closed.
So why did these crazy lovebirds crack the book open and begin another chapter? Although fans are happy to see them together since they're each other's "first loves," personally we wish they'd both move on already. We're definitely not excited about the inevitable breakup (which will happen). We just don't understand the hold Justin has on Selena and are now firmly in the "don't get it" category when it comes to their relationship. Just move on, guys.

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus
We were devastated when these two called off their engagement in 2013. The split must've been pretty traumatic as, shortly after, Miley changed her whole image, twerked on Robin Thicke, and suddenly couldn't keep her tongue in her mouth. But as Miley went through her crazy "I don't need you, Liam, I like to get high with Wayne Coyne now" phase, we sort of got used to Miley being, well, just Miley.
But in 2016, the two got back together! We all celebrated. We knew those crazy kids couldn't resist each other. But then something strange happened — Miley stopped being a crazy, tongue-wielding twerker and started toning down her look. By the time Younger Now was released, she was in full-blown pre-2013 mode and giving interviews about how she doesn't smoke pot anymore and hip-hop is totes lame. Where is your identity, Miley? Does Liam control that? Well, that's kind of weird and unhealthy. Was all of her posturing just a cry for attention from Liam? We just don't get it anymore.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
We're actually big fans of both stars individually, so when they decided to hook up, we were totally fine with it. And then Joe grew a mustache (we'll get back to that). Then, in October 2017, the couple revealed that they were engaged and we couldn't help but scrutinize how quick their engagement was. The two have only been dating for a year. To make things even more iffy, Sophie is only 21 years old and seems a tad young to be running off with the first person she's seriously dated (for reference, Joe is 28). And now that Joe has a new pornstache, he looks even older than his soon-to-be bride. We know seven years isn't that large of an age-gap, but the relationship is happening too quickly for us to be fully onboard.

Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
After Khloé's whirlwind marriage to Lamar Odom, fans thought the reality TV sister was overdue for some relationship happiness. When she started dating Tristan, we all were excited that she moved on and found someone who might finally give her that big family she had always talked about. And now that she's pregnant with her first child, it looks like her dreams are finally coming true. But here's the thing — we're worried about Tristan.
As you know, the men who enter the Kardashian house seem to always fall into a downward spiral of bad luck, from Lamar to Kanye West. Even Scott Disick said the Kardashian women are "cursed." So although we're happy for Khloé and Tristan, our superstitious side is worried he's going to check into rehab for "exhaustion" within a year or so.

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn
Say what you want about the Reputation star, but she deserves some relationship happiness after all the drama with Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston. Fortunately, it looks like the answer to her prayers might lie with a hunky British actor named Joe. But honestly, we're already over them.
How many times have we been on this ride with Taylor? Sure, we would love to believe that Joe is "the one" and won't be the focus of a breakup album two years from now, but we're cynics. After all, what makes Joe more different or special than the other laundry list of Taylor's exes. Although their relationship is still new, and they haven't even walked down the red carpet together, we already don't get the hype.

Jenny Slate and Chris Evans
Although they haven't officially announced they're back together yet, the evidence proves that they pretty much are. Back in 2016 when the couple first went public, Jenny was very candid about the "apples and oranges" aspect of their relationship. "To be quite honest, I didn’t think I was his type,” she told Vulture. “Eventually, when it was like, Oh, you have these feelings for me? I was looking around like, Is this a prank?'" Although we enthusiastically rooted for them, we were sad when they split earlier this year.
However, in November 2017 when the two hinted they were together again, we realized that the "fandom" surrounding their relationship is sort of weird. After Jenny posted a cryptic tweet about how her boyfriend does "many dreamy and generous things," we quickly realized we were now in the "don't get it" camp. Sure, we know he's Captain America, but the level of infatuation with the relationship is at a level that just forgoes our own. Oh well.
