If we had any power, we'd cast Idris Elba as the next James Bond right here, right now — especially after the actor poked fun at the rumors in a recent Twitter post!
Ever since an email leaked revealing that Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal would like the Brit to replace Daniel Craig as the next version of the super spy, the 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' star has been hounded by fans and critics alike.

“Isn't 007 supposed to handsome? Glad you think I've got a shot! Happy New year people,” he captioned a pic of him sporting a goofy face, which doesn't make him look any less attractive, by the way!

Despite his teasing, Idris did tell NPR earlier this year that if he were to get the role, he wouldn't want to be known as "the black James Bond."
“Sean Connery wasn't the Scottish James Bond, and Daniel Craig wasn't the blue-eyed James Bond, so if I played him, I don't want to be called the black James Bond,” he told the media organization.
Right on, Idris!
And now we'll be staring at his abs for the rest of the day. Suh-woon.
