Now that’s a makeover! Katie Holmes said goodbye to her long hair when she debuted a brand new pixie cut on Thursday, Oct. 19, and she looks so adorable! We think Katie lost about 12 inches of her chestnut locks, and the result is giving us major Twiggy vibes. Watch the video below to see Katie’s daring new look!
Katie actually seemed a little hesitant to show off the new look. She headed into the LA airport sporting sunglasses and a big black hat, which she only removed while going through security. It’s unclear why Katie made the bold hair choice, although it could have something to do with her upcoming film Doorman, which is in pre-production right now and is set to come out in 2018. According to Variety, the film is an action-thriller in which a marine returning from combat becomes a doorman and needs to protect a family from thieves. That sounds like the kind of role that could call for a badass new haircut!
The new look must be very recent for Katie. She was spotted riding the subway in NYC just six days before debuting her pixie cut, which could explain why she was trying to hide it under a hat. It always takes time to learn how to style new hairdos and she’s probably still getting used to it.
This is the shortest hair Katie has ever had, and it’s a perfect low-maintenance look for a mom on the go. Katie is super busy acting, taking care of her adorable daughter Suri Cruise,
