So exciting — The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay is getting a head start on finding love!
The 31-year-old attorney made history when she was announced as the first black person to be cast as the lead in the franchise — and her season is continuing to break with Bachelor Nation tradition. During The Bachelor: After the Final Rose, Rachel got to meet four of the contestants that will battle it out for her final rose!
"You could meet your husband right here, right now," Chris Harrison told her before he brought out a backdrop of the water fountain in front of Bachelor mansion. "Good luck, Rachel — let the journey begin!"
The guys — named Demario, Blake, Dane, and Eric — each had a few seconds to chat with Rachel before time was up.

In a trailer for the live after show, producers teased that they would reveal a Bachelor “first," and they delivered since fans usually have to wait until the season premiere to meet the contestants. But it seems like the network is so excited about the upcoming season that they couldn’t wait to share — which makes sense since they decided to announce Rachel as the next Bachelorette before Nick Viall even sent her home.
Rachel and the rest of Bachelor Nation got to have a sneak peek at what to expect from the upcoming season just days before filming begins on Season 12, according to Reality Steve.

Fans were first introduced to Rachel during Nick's season— and things seemed pretty promising from the start when she became the first black woman to get the first impression rose. They hit it off on their first date in New Orleans, but things seemed to go south after hometown dates and she was eliminated after their fantasy suite date.
“It's hard to hear how great you are and how much love somebody has for you — and they still don't choose you. I swear that's the story of my life,” she said tearfully during the episode.
Even though she was heartbroken, fans are thrilled that she’ll get another chance at finding love!
