Fashion fatigue? The 2023 Emmy Awards on Monday, January 15, mark the third major awards ceremony in one week, meaning stars have to really step up their game and get creative when it came to red carpet style.

With the Golden Globes going down one week prior and the Critics Choice Awards happening on the evening before the Emmys, celebrities have to do some careful planning to make sure their outfits looked fresh and stylish, not to mention the they didn’t resemble anything others wore to the previous events, making for a unique collection of best and worst dressed stars.

The Emmys were supposed to take place in September 2023, but the ceremony was moved to January 2024 due to the Writer’s Guild strike. Max’s Succession leads the way with 27 nominations.

The Wednesday star looked flirty and feminine in a sparkly yet sheer dress with floral and vine appliques and boning to create full skirt.

For a fashion magazine layout this gown might be a winner, but for walking a red carpet, the heavy billowing backside completely swallowed The Diplomat star’s silhouette.

The Grey’s Anatomy vet has had some really questionable red carpet looks over the years, but this sheer glittery top with a white collar and black bow matching her slim-fitting skirt was a total winner.

This sheer collared top and black skirt was in a similar vein to what Ellen Pompeo knocked out of the park, but Kathryn’s look appeared more frumpy and poor fitting.
