Ariana Grande Finally Answers The Question We’ve All Been Asking About Her High Ponytail
One of the biggest mysteries has been solved! For years, fans wondered why Ariana Grande always wears her hair in a ponytail and how she withstands the pain. Ariana’s BFF, Camila Cabello, channeled the pop star’s look on Nov. 5 at the MTV EMA’s in Bilbao, Spain and couldn’t wait to take her hair down! The two began a hilarious Twitter exchange that fans loved.
Camila tweeted, “I just did a high ponytail for the first time and it is literally pulling on my BRAIN ITS SO PAINFUL HOW DO YOU DO IT @ArianaGrande.” The “No Tears Left To Cry” singer replied, “well u actually have hair so that prolly makes it a lil more painful ….. nah jk i’m in constant pain always and don’t care at all.” Um, beauty is pain, right?

In the middle of the award show, Camilla posted a selfie on Twitter taking out her ponytail. She wrote, “I had to take it off #thankunext.” Ariana replied, “awwww so happy for u, u still feel things.” We can’t get enough of these two!

Camila even went on to make some hilarious memes about the pain she experienced while wearing a ponytail. She joked, “my face during the high ponytail, my face after i took that thing off.”

While Ariana has been known for always wearing her hair in a ponytail, she has worn it straight on a lot of red carpets recently. In 2014, she addressed on Facebook the reason why she always sports her signature look. She confessed, “My real hair is back to brown and I wear extensions but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down. I tried wigs, they looked RIDICULOUS. Tried a weave because I am working on a new project and want to try some different looks and literally wanted to rip my scalp off. So as annoying as it is for y’all to have to look at the same hair style all the time, it’s all that works for now.”
