Single and ready to mingle? He’s getting there! Following Bradley Cooper’s split from Irina Shayk in June, the longtime actor put his love life on the back-burner … until now. “Bradley’s slowly getting back onto the dating scene,” a source exclusively reveals to Life & Style magazine, on newsstands now.
As it stands, the A Star Is Born producer, 44, has yet to make a connection, but it’s not for lack of trying. “One of his buddy’s wives set him up with someone. It went well, but it wasn’t a love match,” notes the insider. “Love will come.”
Even when Bradley manages to come across that special someone, his priorities post-breakup have shifted greatly. “While Bradley’s career is important to him, everything in his life takes a back seat to his daughter,” adds the source, referring to the child he shares with Irina. “So any future relationship will most definitely come second to Lea.”
The Hangover alum is fully embracing his transition from industry heavy hitter to family man. “Bradley’s gone through a lot. Over the past 12 months, he’s released a successful, award-winning movie [and endured a highly publicized breakup.] Now, he’s starting over, leading a quiet life as a single dad — and, honestly, Bradley seems happier than ever,” says the insider.
So, what does the single dad life look like? “He’d rather go over to his friends’ apartments or out to dinners with his buddies and their kids,” explains the source. “He doesn’t want to be out on the party scene.” While Bradley’s rep denies he’s dating again, the source predicts that he will meet someone through one of “Lea’s playgroups.”
In fact, adds the insider, “He’s already met some single moms at his local cafe and even asked one of them to hang out at a playdate.” Go, Bradley, go!
