It’s Confirmed: Cole and Dylan Sprouse Are Working Together Again
Just because Dylan and Cole Sprouse don’t act together on-screen any more, doesn’t mean they don’t work together in real life. Dylan recently spoke to MTV and said, “The misconception is that we don’t work together now, but we actually very much do, but in a very different way.”
One of the ways their working habits have changed is that it’s done out of the spotlight and Dylan continued, “Cole and I proofread and bounce ideas off each other 24/7. It doesn’t ever really stop, whether or not it’s an audition tape or whether or not it’s even a tweet or whether or not it’s reading my script or ‘tell me what you think of this character.’ … This stuff happens 24/7, so we are currently working together.”
The former Disney Channel stars ended their acting run together in 2011 and went on to study at New York University. With degrees under their belts, Dylan explained that he and Cole always “intended to get back into acting.” But, the project would need to be extra special to get these two in the same frame again.
He said, “It would have to be a really, really, really cool project. It’s easy to stereotype twins into any role. There’s not a lot of great twin roles written and often times when there are, they’re given to a single actor who green screens themselves into both places.” Although twin roles may be few and far between, don’t expect Dylan to make a cameo — in any form — on Cole’s highly successful show, Riverdale, either.
So even though the show might be respected, Dylan has only seen a single episode which means — in his mind — it isn’t the special project that’s going to get him and Cole back on screen together. He said, “I hear very good things [about Riverdale] and I hear my brother is quite good so I’m proud of him nonetheless.”
