A Little Confused
During BravoCon in November, Cameran spoke with Us Weekly and alluded to her returning to the series, which made her revelation that much more surprising. “You will see that some people have made some big strides in growth and some have stayed the same,” she said about season 7 at the time.

A Family Pursuit
Cameran even hinted at her hubby becoming a more pivotal part of the show. Their marriage had not previously been talked about during the series.
“Jason was on the last episode, it went well. Jason’s shy and private, so I think that was kind of a little intro,” Cameran divulged. “I think you might see him again now that he’s more comfortable.”

Rumors, Rumors, Rumors

Not About Him
Cameran added Jason “always supported” her being on Southern Charm, despite not wanting to be on camera. “[Quitting had] absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about my marriage,” she slammed.
“You must protect what is sacred to you. Some things aren’t worth a big paycheck,” the reality starlet wrote. “What upsets me the most is that my husband, who is the most sincere and faithful human I know is being falsely dragged into this.”

Bye, Drama
“I can’t get too upset though because this is what you sign up for when you put your life on reality TV … and why I’m getting out of it now,” she admitted. “Drama is needed to stay relevant on reality television and sadly, false rumors about others are sometimes created. Make of that what you will and consider the source.”

What About Rebecca?
Rebecca, who was accused of cheating with Jason, is a Charleston-based makeup artist. She was just as appalled and alleged she had never even crossed paths with the Eubanks-Wimberly family.
“I have been wrongfully accused of having a relationship with the husband of Cameran Wimberly of Southern Charm. I have never met Jason or Cameran Wimberly in my life,” Rebecca wrote on Instagram on May 14. “These hurtful accusations are blatant unfounded lies that have shaken me to my core. I am not a religious follower of Southern Charm, but as a makeup artist and resident of the Charleston area, it is impossible to not know who the cast of the show is. I have never laid eyes or interacted with Jason Wimberly, Cameran or anyone in their beautiful family other than on television.”

An Inside Rumor
Some reports claimed the cheating rumor about Jason and Rebecca was started by her costar Kathryn Dennis.

More Details
Rebecca addressed her familiarity with Kathryn and the “hurtful” rumors.
“I met Kathryn one time in July 2018 when I did her makeup for a photo shoot for a local clothing store,” Rebecca said. “I have not seen or spoken to Kathryn since. I have only known her in my limited interaction in a professional capacity, and to suggest that I am somehow associated with these allegations is dumbfounding, hurtful and malicious. I am so sorry to the Wimberly family that someone would cut so low as to attack the core tenant of anyone’s life – their family.”

Support From an Unlikely Place
Cameran publicly defended Rebecca amid the cheating rumors. “It is so sad that this kind, beautiful and innocent girl had to be drug into the mud,” the Real World alum responded to the hate the makeup artist was receiving. “I signed up for this by being on TV. She didn’t. @RebeccaWash is the victim here.”

Kathryn’s Side of the Story
Kathryn claimed “all this crazy stuff” was “not true” on May 18. She said she planned on making a full statement, but, in the meantime, she “had to respond [because] I cannot stand my character being annihilated. Please just be patient and know this s—t is just not true.”

Big Yikes
Thomas Ravenel, Kathyrn’s ex-boyfriend, later slammed Cameran on Twitter. “I don’t know if [Cameran] Wimberly’s husband cheated or not, but would any [one] blame him considering her hero in life, whom she’d kill to emulate, was that lying gold-digging fame whore Patricia Altschul?” he wrote on May 17. He continued his rant by adding he is delighted the “liars and losers/trash that are connected to Southern Charm are unconnected to me now.”
