New ‘RHOC’ Star Emily Simpson Has Bad Blood With Tamra Judge
You may have spotted some new faces in the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 13 trailer…including a woman that longtime cast member Tamra Judge probably isn't happy to see on the Bravo reality show. Here's what you gotta know about new RHOC star Emily Simpson…
According to her Bravo bio, Emily got to be friends with Tamra after planning the baby shower for Tamra's granddaughter Ava a few years back. But then Emily burned that bridge by befriending some of Tamra's former besties. We'll likely hear a lot about that this season, especially since it seems like Emily has reconciliation on her mind. "Now focusing on mending the toxic relationships in her life, Emily hopes that she can find true friendships with the ladies," the bio reveals.
Describing Emily as a "true rags-to-riches story," Bravo says this Ohio transplant came from nothing and worked her butt off until she found success as an attorney, a part-time planner, a wife, and a mom. After experiencing pregnancy and fertility issues, Emily enlisted sister Sarah as her surrogate, and now Emily and husband Shane have three kids under the age of five: daughter Anabelle and twin sons Luke and Keller. Oh, and they're also raising two daughters from Shane's previous marriage.
Even with such a hectic family life, Emily still prizes her career. "A lot of women don't have to work, but… I throw the attorney thing in there, like, 'No, girl, I'm not your typical housewife,'" she says in the trailer.
Also new on the RHOC scene is Gina Kirschenheiter, who has three kids under the age of 5, as well. Gina hails from Long Island, and Bravo says this "expressive outsider" is "shaking up Southern California and its politically correct Orange County ways."
Plus, she and Emily make quite a splash together: As we see in the trailer, they dive headlong into a pool at a party, cocktail dresses and all.
We can't wait to see what else goes down! The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 13 premieres on Monday, July 16, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
