LOL: John Mayer Has a Hilarious Response When a Fan Asked ‘How Are You Still Single?’
Poking fun at himself! When John Mayer took to Instagram to post a black and white photo of himself playing the guitar on Monday, July 15, a fan asked the question we’ve all been wondering ourselves: “How are you still single?” The 41-year-old’s response was both hilarious and straightforward.
“Google me,” he replied in the comments section. Well, then. LOL. If you do google him, you may find that the singer has made controversial comments in the past about the women he’s dated. For instance, he was with Jessica Simpson from 2006 to 2007, and three years after they broke up, he revealed some pretty personal details about their intimate life together.
“That girl, for me, is a drug,” John told Playboy in 2010. “And drugs aren’t good for you if you do lots of them. Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me.”
But wait, it got worse. “Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say,” he added. “It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, ‘I want to quit my life and just f–king’ snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f–k you, I would start selling all my s–t just to keep f–king you.'”
In the same interview, he got candid about why things didn’t work out between him and Jennifer Aniston. “We just have a regard for each other’s feelings that is pretty intense,” he explained at the time. “It’s been a deep relationship, and it’s no longer taking place at all. Have you ever loved somebody, loved her completely, but had to end the relationship for life reasons?”
The “Your Body Is a Wonderland” crooner admitted at the time that being young had plenty to do with the split. “I’ll always be sorry that it didn’t last,” he told the outlet. “In some ways I wish I could be with her. But I can’t change the fact that I need to be 32.”
On the bright side, at least John is self-aware, right?
