We officially have more Kardashians to keep up with! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s baby girl arrived via surrogate on Monday, Jan. 15, joining older siblings North, 4, and Saint, 2.

Now, a few days later, Kim and Kanye have finally revealed that they are naming their daughter Chicago West, sharing the exciting news on Kim’s website. Kanye, who is from the Windy City, has rapped often about his love for his hometown — but the name is definitely unexpected. Kim previously confessed that the couple preferred one syllable names. “I do like different names. But short, easy to spell, one syllable — that’s kind of my vibe,” Kim told Ellen DeGeneres last year. Last time we checked, Chicago has three. Kim Kardashian’s new baby — it’s a girl!

Kim confirmed the news on her website, writing, “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care. North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister.”

According to TMZ, Kim was the first person to have “skin-to-skin contact” with her newborn. Though Kanye was at the hospital, he allegedly stayed out of the delivery room.

Chicago weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces at birth.

In comparison, Saint weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce, while North weighed 4 pounds, 15 ounces (Kimye’s firstborn arrived about five weeks early). The beauty mogul previously revealed that her placenta accreta, the potentially life-threatening condition she suffered through during both of her pregnancies, was one of the reasons she opted to use a surrogate for baby No. 3. “If the two doctors that I trust have told me it wouldn’t be safe for me to get pregnant again, I have to listen to that,” she shared on a past episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kim Kardashian picked the name Chicago!

The moniker was revealed on Kim’s website on Jan. 19, with the reality star simply writing, “Chicago West.” However, fans began speculating over possible options since Kim accidentally confirmed the gender on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November.

“My daughter thinks she’s tricky. We had a baby shower over the weekend, and I thought, ‘You know, I really do want to have a baby shower because I want [North] to feel that something’s coming and for her to really understand it,'” the 37-year-old said at the time. “So, people brought toys and gifts and [North] was opening them all up the next day. And she goes, ‘Mom, since Baby Sister’s not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room and play with them and make sure they’re all okay for Baby Sister.'” We can’t wait to see pics of Northie with her new sibling!

The baby came right around her due date!

Ever since news broke in September that Kim and Kanye had hired a surrogate to carry their third child, sources have said the baby would be born in January — and they were right! Even though the mother-of-three admitted that she “hated” being pregnant, she confessed that watching another woman carry her child has been challenging.

“Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong,” she told Entertainment Tonight in November. “I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control. And, you know, obviously, you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still… knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it’s hard for me. It’s definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area.”

Thankfully, Kim is super close to her surrogate, who reportedly lives in San Diego and is a mom-of-two — though the social media queen didn’t invite her to the baby shower. “I introduced her to my family earlier that day, and I just thought…I don’t know, it was a weird decision to have to make,” the multi-millionaire explained. “Of course I would have wanted her to be there, and be a part of it, but I hadn’t really gone that far in explaining it to my kids yet.”

But, Kim added, “I love her. I have the best relationship with my surrogate. She’s so nice. She’s the perfect person to do this for my family.”

Kim hasn’t posted photos of her new baby girl.

We had to wait two months for a photo of North — which of course was unveiled on Kris Jenner‘s now-defunct talk show. Saint made his public debut nearly three months after his birth on mom Kim’s website. So, if the famous parents stick to their pattern, we’ll get our first glimpse of Chicago in March (or early April!)
