‘Smallville’ Actress Allison Mack Arrested for Her Alleged Role In the Notorious Sex Cult, NXIVM
Actress Allison Mack — best known for playing Clark Kent’s friend Chloe Sullivan on the TV show Smallville — has been arrested for her role in the alleged sex cult, NXIVM. The Daily News reported that the 35-year-old was a “recruiter” that not only lured innocent women in, but also required the slaves to engage in sexual acts with the group’s leader, Keith Raniere. She also allegedly gave Raniere naked photos of the slaves.
Allison — who reportedly ranked right below Raniere in the cult’s hierarchy — last made headlines after she was seen chasing Raniere as cops arrested him in Mexico. The group, which was founded by Raniere, was first exposed in a New York Times feature.
Back then, Frank Parlato, a former spokesman for NXIVM, claimed in his blog that Allison was second in command, which turned out to be true. In fact, he stated that she was running a sorority within the cult that brands women, presides over them like they’re slaves, and recruits top performers for Raniere’s harem! Where is Allison from?
She was born to American parents in West Germany, where her father was performing as an opera singer. The family, including Allison’s older brother and younger sister, moved back to the US when she was two years old, settling in Long Beach, CA.

She was a child star, acting from the age of four in commercials, and later appearing in ‘90s family flicks like Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves and Camp Nowhere. She’s best known for her role on Smallville, but she’s been on a number of successful series like 7th Heaven, The Following alongside Kevin Bacon, and FX’s Wilfred with Elijah Wood.

On her personal site, Allison explains that alleged cult leader Raniere has been her mentor for many years. After Smallville, she was studying theater when she came across his “unconventional” work. She was so impressed, she sought him out to help in her study of acting and music. In 2013, they created a curriculum together that is taught by Allison and others at private arts academy, The Source. She says that the program “provides a unique toolset and innovative exercises to increase one’s mastery of the art of compassion, utilizing the disciplines of acting and expression.”

Allison dated actor Chad Krowchuk from 2008 to 2010. She was then engaged to fellow Smallville star, Sam Witwer, in 2013, though they reportedly called it off a year later.

Her last on-camera acting role was in 2015 on Showtime’s American Odyssey, though she did do some voice work on Amazon’s animated series, Lost in Oz. While her acting days might be over now that she’s been arrested for her alleged role in a sex cult, Allison was just recently interested in returning to television. When a fan suggested she reunite with former co-stars Justin Hartley and Milo Ventimiglia on This Is Us, she replied, “I would love that!!”
