Elisabeth McGowan

As a Life & Style weekend staff writer, Elisabeth also contributes to In Touch and occasionally Closer Weekly. Since she’s a huge movie fan, Elisabeth became a writer because she loves all things Hollywood — and, of course, can shamelessly catch any reference from huge film franchises like The Twilight Saga. Her areas of interest include real-life celebrity and onscreen couples, and her heart breaks if any of them ever call it quits.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Elisabeth started writing for the entertainment industry through internships and a one-year-long editorial position with The Odyssey Online. After that, she worked as a freelance writer for Screen Rant, and then moved into a full time film writer role for Showbiz Cheat Sheet. She later became a <em>Life & Style</em> weekend staff writer in October 2021.

Education

Elisabeth graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis, in December 2018 with a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and English.
