Where did the spark go!? Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt have gone from the slopes to the fantasy suite to the real world together after hitting it off on The Bachelor Winter Games, but less than a month after the finale they revealed that they’re not still together. And the reason why? It’s pretty “harsh.”

“It sounds a little harsh but it’s just that lack of magic,” said Ashley on her podcast with Ben Higgins, where Kevin was a guest for the day. “We get along very well, but there’s just a little something missing and you can’t really pinpoint what it is. That’s just how I feel.” Kevin, apparently, agreed.

“You get those connections all the time where if you take away our outside world and just put Ashley and me on an island together, we’d probably get along really well and that’s what Vermont was,” explained the Canadian hunk. “And then you add in everything else—everyday interests to when we get up in the morning—there’s just lifestyles where two people can go in different directions. It doesn’t mean that they still don’t love and respect each other. It just means if it doesn’t line up and the older you get, the quicker you want to identify that.”

We’re glad to hear that there’s no bitterness between the sweet couple, and despite not working out, it sounds like the relationship helped them grow. Kevin, 34, didn’t seem intimidated by the fact that Ashley, 29, was a virgin when she entered the Vermont lodge at the beginning of the season. Learning that there are guys out there who would respect her for that definitely gave Ashley more confidence in dating.

Fans were so excited to see the brunette beauty crying tears of joy for a change. “Ashley I. is a hero in that you can wait for the right guy, and that you can learn to do your eyebrows girls, just give it time and practice,” one viewer tweeted before another added, “I am rooting for Ashley to get married and have a honeymoon spin-off show.” So maybe Kevin wasn’t The One for our fave Bach Nation star, but we know she’ll find him!
