No One’s Safe — The ‘Impractical Jokers’ Cast Keeps Pranking Murr While on Set of Their Movie!
When you're one-fourth of the Impractical Jokers, how can you expect to catch a break?! James Murray, Joe Gatto, Sal Vulcano, and Brian "Q" Quinn are hard at work filming their upcoming movie, and while fans can expect tons of jokes and hilarious pranks in the soon-to-be comedy, there's already a ton of hijinks going on right now, behind the scenes. According to Instagram, it looks like the cast is having lots of fun terrorizing Murr on set!
Sal debuted the first behind-the-scenes prank when he shared photos of each cast member's chair. Sal's read "Sal," Brian's read "Q," Joe's read "Joe," and poor Murr's read "Cast."
"Day 1 of shooting for the #ImpracticalJokers movie," Sal captioned the pic. "Swipe to see the wonderful little 'accident' that happened."
"I can't even catch a break on my own damn movie!" Murr wrote in his own IG post, which showed the four chairs lined up side-by-side. The hilarity (and the humiliation) didn't stop there. Two days later, Murr's chair had been replaced, only it didn't have the name he was hoping for.
"Day #3 filming the Impractical Jokers movie and they're still f'ing with me. Can't catch a damn break," he captioned the pic. His new chair had his nickname "Murr" on it, but the name was missing the second "r."
When news first broke back in March that the comedic troupe would be making a movie — produced by Funny or Die, no less — hardcore fans of the series were ecstatic. However, the masterminds behind the series were just plain surpised! "We're as surprised as anyone that four dudes from Staten Island have been allowed to make a TV show for as long as we have, so the idea of making this movie is absolutely mind-blowing," The Tenderloins said in a statement.
Impractical Jokers has been renewed by TruTV for an eighth season, plus 26 episodes that will air in 2019. The movie is expected to hit theaters in 2019 as well.
