We don't think Long Island Medium fans will want to hear this one. Viewers had gotten to know and love Theresa Caputo's relationship with her husband Larry Caputo after watching the last seven seasons of the hit show, but sadly after months of separation following their split announcement in early December, the couple has reportedly filed for divorce. Though Radar reported the news on July 5, the former couple actually signed the papers on April 16, 2018.

This shouldn't really come as a surprise, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing. Theresa revealed the sad news that they were finally calling it quits in Dec. with a heartbreaking statement. "After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate,” said a statement obtained by Us Weekly. "We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time." The former duo is parents to a son, Larry Caputo Jr., 25, and daughter, Victoria Caputo, 23.

In June, TMZ learned the couple has been living thousands of miles apart on opposite coasts amid the ongoing divorce. The worst part? Larry revealed to the news outlet that he has already moved on from Theresa with another woman after previously hoping to reconcile their 28-year marriage.

The Long Island Medium was having marriage trouble for months.

In a previous teaser for the eighth season of the show, Theresa opened up about what was going on in her marriage, and it didn't sound too good. "Everything's good with Larry?" asked a friend. "There’s a strain there," admitted Theresa. "Since the last season of Long Island Medium, Larry and I’s relationship has changed. It’s not easy for me to talk about this — I don’t know what’s going to happen. And that’s hard." Larry voiced his own concerns, saying, "I go to sleep thinking about it, I wake up thinking about it, I don’t know what the outcome of this is gonna be.” Episode 2 also saw Theresa confiding in a friend that she and Larry are going through a "rough patch."

Fans also saw Theresa break down during a reading. "I really can't stop thinking about my relationship with Larry. I'm gonna say something, and I'm gonna regret it. Things happen." She walked off camera adding, "I can't – I can't do this. I'm in the middle of a reading with Erin, and my own emotions about my relationship with Larry got the best of me. This is a really hard time right now with Larry and I, and I don't know what is going to happen. It's just… It's wearing on me."

Fans were desperate for Theresa and Larry not to divorce.

"I’m praying for you and Larry!" wrote one fan on Instagram. "[It] broke my heart about you and Larry. I hope and pray that you too can work everything out," said another. "So sad to see you and Larry are having issues. Fight for your marriage don’t let anything break you apart. You two are meant to grow old together. Take marriage over success!!! God bless you both!!!" said one more. The couple's supporters fully believed they could work this out, but unfortunately their problems became too much to solve.
