In February 2019, Jordyn Woods’ love life was put under a microscope after news of her cheating scandal with Khloé Kardashian’s off-again, on-again boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, made headlines. For nearly two years afterward, the up-and-coming actress seemingly remained single. However, as of September 2020, Jordyn is in a happy and healthy relationship with professional basketball player Karl-Anthony Towns.

“We have been friends for a long time,” Jordyn told Extra during a September 29 interview of how the pair met. “Naturally, we both connected about losing a parent at a very young age. So, it was a very organic relationship that we’d been best friends for a while.”

Days earlier, the Los Angeles native went Instagram official with Karl-Anthony after posting loved-up photos of the couple on a beach in Mexico for Jordyn’s 23rd birthday. “I found you, then I found me,” she captioned the post. Unfortunately, some fans took issue with her message, but as usual, Jordyn paid the haters no mind.

“Yeah, people were getting on me about the caption, but I just think that when you find the right one, you can learn even more about yourself,” she expressed. “It’s about learning to evolve with someone. The right person will bring a lot out of you.”

That was hardly the first time Jordyn has dealt with backlash. In fact, during the months following her controversy with Tristan and the Kardashians, she found herself in a “dark” place.

“You know, I had my family to talk to, I had you to talk to but I felt like I had no one,” Jordyn told Natalie Manuel Lee during a segment for her YouTube series, Now With Natalie, conducted before the coronavirus pandemic. “You take everything you think you know for a whole decade, the people you think you know, the life you think you know, everything that you’ve grown up doing and you take it all away from someone. I didn’t even know how to feel.”
