Kim Claps Back at Cazzie David’s Accusation That the Kardashians “Use Plastic Water Bottles”
Another day, another Kardashian clap back. The latest victim: Pete Davidson’s ex-girlfriend, Cazzie David. On July 20, Cazzie called out Kim Kardashian and the entire KarJenner clan for allegedly using plastic water bottles to drink out of. Her accusation was in direct response to an eco-conscious post Kim shared hours earlier.
“Plastic Emergency. Our next generation has to live with this! Let’s care enough to fix it!” the mother-of-three shared to her Instagram stories along with an image of a heavily polluted body of water.
Cazzie didn’t waste any time reaching out to Kim. “Have your family stop using plastic water bottles!” the 24-year-old messaged with a heart emoji. While Cazzie’s note to Kim was hardly aggressive, her decision to share the message to her own Instagram stories was a bit shady. “30% of the world’s plastic consumption is in the Kardashian refrigerators,” she captioned the post.
Kim never directly responded to Cazzie, but it seems as if Kim took her message to heart. Shortly after Cazzie’s story went live, Kim posted a follow-up to her environmental message. “Calabasas has banned plastic straws! So is the West household.”
To be fair, Cazzie made no mention of plastic straws in her diatribe, but it’s a start. If nothing else, it’s clear that Kim wants her fans to know that she and her family are taking the steps to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle — even if those steps are baby-sized.
After all, anyone who has ever caught a glimpse of a Kardashian fridge on KUWTK can attest to the fact that those women love their plastic. Kris Jenner’s refrigerator, for example, is home to countless water bottles, sports drinks, and juices that are all contained in plastic bottles. Delicious? Yes. Contributing to the demise of our planet? Also, yes.
Clap back or not, the message behind this unlikely celebrity interaction is important and we should all take note. Yay for saving the planet one reusable bottle at a time.
