Congrats to the proud parents! Leighton Meester and husband Adam Brody welcomed their second child.

Interestingly enough, the excited father, 40, reportedly revealed the happy news last week on gamer streaming platform Twitch while appearing on Hold the Phone TV’s The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular. During the game, one of his fellow contestants mentioned his new child, which prompted him to give more information about his sweet newborn son.

“I have a new … yeah, since last I played, I have a new kid,” he confirmed before noting his child is “a boy and he’s a dream, he’s a dream boy.”

The twosome kept their pregnancy under wraps until late March when they were spotted on a walk together with the proud mama’s growing baby bump on full display.

Leighton, 34, and Adam first met on the set of their 2010 film The Oranges and dated after working together. Three years later, they got engaged and the pair wed the following year in 2014. Their first child, daughter Arlo Day, was born in August 2015.

The Gossip Girl alum and the O.C. alum have been pretty tight-lipped about their connection and private life, but it isn’t lost on anyone that two of TV’s most popular fictional characters ended up together IRL.

“She’s more inherently private than I am. I don’t seek publicity but if I’m sitting next to you on the subway, I’ll tell you everything about me,” Adam told GQ of his bond with his wife in an August 2019 interview. “We’re homebodies. We don’t go to a lot of things that perhaps we could and don’t seek out promotion in that way. I’m not s—ting on anyone who monetizes that aspect of their life because I get it. But we’ve found this great balance so far that really works for us.”

The Ready or Not star also opened up about how fatherhood changed his life after his daughter’s birth — and we can only imagine Adam is that much more thrilled with the family’s new arrival.

“I mean this cliché — pride and joy. It’s very apt,” Adam gushed to the outlet. “She’s the thing I’m most proud of and gives me the most joy. She’s just so dang awesome. It just gives you a new perspective in the best way — something to focus on that’s greater and more important than yourself.”
