So sad. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump broke her silence after her mother, Jean Vanderpump‘s, tragic death earlier this month. The loss comes just one year after her brother Mark Vanderpump committed suicide in April 2018. The reality star assured fans that she is looking forward to positive vibes only from now on.

“As you go to RIP with Mark, Mummy. A tragic year for sure,” the 58-year-old wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, June 25. “I thank all of you for your beautiful messages and words of kindness. Life is so fragile and I have no time for negativity.”

Fans rallied to support the Vanderpump Rules star. “Oh my goodness, I’m so so sorry for your loss, Lisa. Quite a year indeed. Sending you strength, peace and love,” one person responded. Someone else wrote, “Sending you love and healing Lisa. Please remember to surround yourself with people who are positive … You have always uplifted others. I’m sure others have uplifted you during this difficult time. Stay strong.” A separate user added, “Love you Lisa, stay strong, you are not alone.”

The Bravolebrity has admitted to feeling “emotionally overwhelmed” after her brother’s death, despite her huge success as a restauranteur and reality personality. “The devastation is hard to deal with,” she confessed to Daily Express in an interview that was published on June 15. “When your only sibling goes, they take every memory and shared experience with them. You think, ‘Could anything I have done made a difference?’ Shoulda, woulda, coulda. That’s just part of the sadness.”

The brunette beauty’s tragic loss made her take steps to protect her own mental wellbeing. “I’ve never self-harmed, but I have had depressing moments … I started on antidepressants after my brother passed and grief counseling,” the SUR owner explained.

The weight of grief is part of the reason she decided to leave the famed reality show. “After such a depressing year, I worry about the toll it might take,” she said. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to step away from Housewives.” Hopefully, things start looking up for Lisa soon.

Our thoughts go out to the Vanderpump family.
