Nothing but love and admiration between these two since day one! It turns out Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt were fans of each other almost four years before they became family, according to a resurfaced tweet from June 2015.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star, 39, made an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden and autographed his name next to his future father-in-law.”Right next to friggin’ Arnold!” the actor added to his signature at the time. The former California governor took notice because he quote tweeted the show’s post about it and added, “I’m right next to friggin’ CHRIS PRATT. Congrats on the monster opening weekend, @prattprattpratt. You deserve it.” How sweet!

The Terminator alum isn’t the only Schwarzenegger family member to somehow be connected to Chris in the past. Recently, a throwback clip of Katherine Schwarzenegger resurfaced where she was asked to choose her favorite Chris from the Avengers films. She may have picked Chris Evans initially, but she did change her mind right away and opted for her future fiancé. “Actually, Chris Pratt. Chris Pratt’s been looking good lately, so you never know,” she said.

Chris took to Instagram earlier this week to announce he proposed to his future bride. “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!” he wrote as a photo caption. Since then, the couple have received lots of well wishes, including from Chris’ ex-wife, Anna Faris, who wrote, “I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!”

She also admitted Chris told her about the engagement the day after proposing. “Chris texted me this morning and he was like, you know, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night,'” she explained on her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified. “I was like ‘Ah! That’s amazing.'”

Pretty much, everyone is happy for the lovely future newlyweds.
