Asifa Mirza and Bobby Panahi Explain Their Abnormal Relationship Timeline (EXCLUSIVE)
Well, this interesting! During an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Shahs of Sunset alums Asifa Mirza and Bobby Panahi — who star on this season of We TV’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars — discussed their complicated relationship.
“I think in 2011 we were married for a little under a year, then we got divorced and stayed together but we’ve had a few breakups here and there,” Asifa explained during a Facebook Live. When asked why they tried again after divorcing, she replied, “There’s a connection. There’s a bond, but then you’re dealing with two very strong-headed people.”
“We both live in LA and it’s difficult to maintain a relationship in LA — and I think that for me, because I come from a really strong familial background — my parents have been married for over 35 years, they have four kids, they made it work — so I grew up with that type of mentality,” the former Bravolebrity continued. “With [Bobby], you’re dealing with a different type of background. Neither one is better or worse, but his parents got divorced when he was three months old, so we’re dealing with two different types of familial backgrounds.” Bobby agreed that there is “clearly a bond” between the two of them.
Fans may remember the couple suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage, but the couple revealed they still wish to have a child one day. Bobby admitted time is an issue right now, while Asifa explained, “If it’s the right time. Obviously, I want to be married, so if it’s the right time — I do want to have children, but we both have to agree on it,” Asifa explained. “I also just turned 35 so I don’t have that much time left.”
