Not All ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘Bachelorette’ Winners Found Love on the Show
Last night, Becca Kufrin became one more on a long list of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette winners. But unfortunately, scoring the final spot on a season doesn’t guarantee you a lifetime of love — or even that coveted Neil Lane engagement ring. In fact, plenty of the shows’ winners didn’t manage to score a proposal at all. Though there are definitely some Bachelor Nation couples still together (and almost all of those success stories are from The Bachelorette, just FYI), most fall apart. But that doesn’t mean that the winners’ stories are over. Nope, for most of them, things are just getting started as they make appearances on Bachelor in Paradise, TV couples’ counseling shows, and, of course, Instagram #ads.
But they also go on to get married, have kids, and start some awesome businesses, too. It’s not all about that #sponcon life, after all. Although, for some, it really is about finding true love — just not always with the Bachelor or Bachelorette. Want to see what the Bachelor Nation winners from over the years have been up to since their seasons? Scroll down to check them out in the gallery below.

Amanda Marsh won Alex Michel's heart in Season 1 of The Bachelor.
Though Amanda caught the eye of the first ever star of the franchise, there weren't any previous expectations — so when it came time for a proposal, Alex elected to ask her to simply keep dating instead of getting down on one knee. The two kept seeing each other for a few months, but eventually broke things off. Today, she's married to a childhood friend, Jay Caldwell, and together they're raising their daughter Chloe.

After the show, their engagement only lasted a few months — but they've managed to stay friends over the years. In 2009, Jen married Joe Waterman and the couple has two kids together, Mae Elizabeth and Charlotte Grace.

Shayne Lamas and Matt Grant had something special in Season 12 of The Bachelor.
Though Matt did pop the question and the two got engaged, they also broke up after just a few months. After the show, she went on to appear in her family's reality show, Leave it to Lamas and work as an actress. Now, Shayne is married to Nik Richie, founder of TheDirty.com. The two appeared on VH1's Couples Therapy together in 2012 and have two kids, daughter Press Dahl and son Lyon. Unfortunately, Shayne recently lost her mom, though she's hopefully getting plenty of support from the rest of her family.

Jesse Csincsak and DeAnna Pappas hit it off in Season 4 of The Bachelorette.

Melissa Rycroft thought she'd won Jason Mesnick's heart on Season 13 of The Bachelor.
They got engaged, but she found herself blind-sided when he dumped her on TV while filming After the Final Rose. Jason went on to explore a relationship with Melissa's runner-up, Molly Mesnick, and the two eventually got married. Today, we call that "pulling a Mesnick." But what about Melissa? After the show, she went on to compete on Dancing with the Stars and finished in third place in season eight. A few years later, she came back to win the All-Stars season. She also hosted Redneck Island, another reality competition show. Oh, and as for love, she got back together with and married her ex, Tye Strickland, and together they had three kids.

Vienna Girardi and Jake Pavelka fell for each other in Season 14 of The Bachelor.
They got engaged, broke up a few months later, then appeared together on Season 2 of Bachelor Pad. Talk about awkward run-ins with your ex. Today, it seems like Vienna's found love after a hard last year. After announcing she was pregnant with twins, she shared that she'd suffered from a miscarriage in August of 2017. Luckily, it seems her new boyfriend Jay Husagic is helping heal her heart.

Roberto Martinez won over Ali Fedotowsky on Season 6 of The Bachelorette.
After getting engaged, the lovebirds stayed together for nearly a year and a half. While Ali found love with husband Kevin Manno, Roberto's still single — but Ali's got some interesting ideas. "I would love to see him be the Bachelor," she said in December. "I would totally be down for that. I think he needs to meet somebody. I think he would be a great choice. And it would be awesome to switch it up and have a non-white Bachelor." We're here for it.

Emily Maynard and Brad Womack fell for each other in Season 15 of The Bachelor.
The two got engaged, broke up, got back together, and then broke up again all within just a few months. But single mom Emily got a second chance when she found herself becoming the show's new star for Season 8 of The Bachelorette. She got engaged to her season's winner, Jef Holm, but things didn't work out with him either. Now, she's married to Tyler Johnson, a man she met through her church, and the three have four kids — her daughter Ricki and their sons Jennings, Gibson, and Gatlin.

J.P. Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert found love on Season 7 of The Bachelorette.
And they're one of the lucky few couples still together today. After getting engaged on the finale, J.P. and Ashley tied the knot in December 2012 (on TV, natch), and have gone on to have two children, Fordham and Essex. Things haven't been totally smooth sailing, but since their stint on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars (where they discovered they were pregnant), they seem to be doing great.

Courtney Robertson stole Ben Flajnik's heart in Season 16 of The Bachelor.
Though she won the season, Courtney was technically the "villain" — and Ben finally saw that side of her when the show was airing. They broke up while the season was airing, but got back together before the finale episode, then broke up again six months later. Since, Courtney has hooked up with other Bachelor stars (like current Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr.), written a tell-all called I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain, and started working in real estate in Los Angeles.

Jef Holm proposed to Emily Maynard on Season 8 of The Bachelorette.
Despite seeming like a great couple on the show, they broke things off within a year. It seemed like he had at least formed a lasting friendship with Arie, his runner-up, but that also burned out. Jef revealed on Twitter after Arie was announced as the Bachelor that he found his former friend "disgusting," so there's that. But he's still a big part of Bachelor Nation. Last year, he found himself roommates with Robby Hayes and Chase McNary from JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette. Though he hasn't settled down with anyone, he is still the CEO of his own company, People Water, a bottled water company that also aims to give back.

Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe fell in love on Season 17 of The Bachelor.
They got engaged on the finale and married before a year had past in a special televised ceremony. The two went on to work out some issues in the sixth season of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, but welcomed their first child just a few months later in July 2016. After having their first child, son Samuel, they're now expecting their second and working on baby name ideas. Catherine's also the only winner of The Bachelor who's actually still with the man she got engaged to on her season.

Chris Siegfried snagged Desiree Hartsock's heart on Season 9 of The Bachelorette.

Nikki Ferrell was the finalist on Juan Pablo Galavis' season of The Bachelor, Season 18.
However, Juan Pablo chose not to propose when the time came, though he did ask Nikki to continue their relationship. Things hardly went swimmingly, though, since the couple went on to appear on Season 5 of Couples Therapy that same year, and then eventually broke up before that show even finished airing. Luckily, Nikki did end up finding real love, this time with her friend, Tyler Vanloo. The two wed in October 2016.

Josh Murray proposed to Andi Dorfman on Season 10 of The Bachelorette.
He beat out Nick Viall for the chance to propose, and Josh and Andi did manage to make things work for a while. But then they ended up splitting in January 2015 and Andi wrote in her 2016 book It's Not Okay that he called her a whore and was abusive. Somehow, he ended up back on TV for Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise where he again butted heads with Nick but also ended up engaged to Amanda Stanton from Season 20 of The Bachelor, Ben Higgins' season. Despite moving in together, that didn't work out either, and the couple split. The star seems single for now, but is busy with his physical training company.

Whitney Bischoff found love with Chris Soules on Season 19 of The Bachelor.
They got engaged in the finale, but within two months of the episode airing, they'd already split. We're betting that Whitney's feeling pretty lucky about that these days, since Chris has recently found himself in a world of legal trouble after a fatal car crash and she's found herself married to Ricky Angel.

Shawn Booth won over Kaitlyn Bristowe on Season 11 of The Bachelorette.
Not only did the couple get engaged by the end of the season, they're still engaged today. Yep, they're one of the many Bachelorette couples who've made it work, and though they haven't officially tied the knot yet (or, uh, maybe they have), they have started planning. Still, it doesn't seem like Shawn and Kaitlyn are in any rush to walk down the aisle.

Lauren Bushnell got engaged to Ben Higgins on Season 20 of The Bachelor.
Though Ben famously said "I love you" to both Lauren and JoJo, he picked the blonde beauty at the end of the day. The couple were so beloved by Bachelor Nation that they also landed their own spin-off show, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? The question in the show's title seemed to seal the deal for them, though, since they called things off in May 2017. Since then, Lauren's found love again with boyfriend Devin Antin, who she, funnily enough, had met on Tinder before meeting Ben.

Jordan Rodgers proposed to JoJo Fletcher on Season 12 of The Bachelorette.
He beat out Robby to get down on one knee for JoJo, and the two are still together a year and a half later. After the show, the former pro football player landed a gig as an ESPN college football analyst, and he and his fiancée are still being adorable and in love all over Instagram. And they're finally talking about setting a wedding date, too.

Vanessa Grimaldi won over Nick Viall on Season 21 of The Bachelor.
He got down on one knee during the finale, but from the start, there were rumors these two were putting on an act for the camera. They did post constantly about each other on Instagram, but within a few months, they'd called it quits on their engagement. The two are still on good terms, but a romance doesn't seem in the cards. She was spotted with a hot hockey boyfriend in the fall, but seems currently single and focused on her organization, No Better You, which aims to advance education for special needs students.

Bryan Abasolo locked down Rachel Lindsay on Season 13 of The Bachelorette.
Though Peter was the fan favorite, Bryan ended up being the last man standing when he got down on one knee to propose to Rachel. The Bachelorette had been teasing all the time they spent together while the season was still airing, calling her fiancé "Jerome" to hide his identity, and then flaunting her relationship with Bryan once they went public. The two are constantly posting about and with each other on Instagram, and have said they're hoping to get married and have kids sooner rather than later.

Becca Kufrin found love and lost it with Arie Luyendyk Jr. on Season 22 of The Bachelor.
Yep, we've all seen the drama play out on screen that left fans in shock, Becca heartbroken, and Caroline telling Arie "I know what you did." Basically, Arie cemented himself as the worst Bachelor in history when he dumped Becca on camera after proposing because he actually wanted to date her runner-up, Lauren Burnham. Though she didn't leave the show with love, she does seem to have some amazing friends in her fellow competitors — and all of America rooting for her. Oh, yeah — and she gets to be the next Bachelorette where we'll root for her to follow her heart (and hopefully score an actually successful engagement).
