It seems like it wasn’t all roses and butterflies for former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and her ex-fiancé, Shawn Booth. Over the summer, the 33-year-old addressed her Off The Vine listeners about the rumors that she and Shawn were headed for splitsville. At the time, she reassured them and said, “You know that times aren’t always going to be smooth sailing. You just have to get through those hurdles and enjoy the good times. Shawn and I are 110 percent committed to each other and, yes, we are still together.”

Unfortunately, the pair called it quits last week, saying that they are “very much committed to remaining friends” and they “will continue to support each other.” It seems like there were signs there all along that the two wouldn’t make it, though. So sad!

Kaitlyn had Wells Adams — one of JoJo Fletcher’s former suitors from the show — on her podcast this week. Even though this was recorded before Kaitlyn and Shawn split, the reality star spilled that Shawn had forgotten their anniversary last year. Ugh!

The two couldn’t decide on an anniversary date to begin with, since she was seeing multiple men on the show. However, Shawn couldn’t seem to remember the date they picked regardless… which was the day they got engaged.

Kaitlyn said, “He actually forgot our anniversary last year. He was like, ‘To be fair, you had just dumped a guy five minutes before deciding, I guess, I’ll pick this guy.’ Okay, you forgot our anniversary. At the end of the day, you’re being a d—k right now. Just own that.”

Chris Harrison even tried to help Kaitlyn and Shawn get their relationship back on track! He told Extra, “I’m in very close contact with Kaitlyn, she is a very good friend of mine…I knew that they were struggling privately, I knew that they were really trying to work it out. I was kind of like a counselor off-air talking to her and trying to help them cause they were really fighting for it, trying to make it work. Eventually, they just had to come to the inevitable conclusion it’s not going to work and go their separate ways.”

We wish they could have made it work because TBH, we’re still not over this breakup.
