When Miley Cyrus calls herself a happy hippie, she means it! The former Disney Channel star follows a strict vegan diet — and even has the tattoo to prove it.

"Vegan for life," she captioned a photo of her new ink of the certified vegan logo on her inner arm.
In another selfie of the simple flower tattoo, Miley added, "Bumper stickers all over dis Bentley."

She may be a longtime animal advocate, but Miley hasn't always been against eating meat. In 2015, Miley opened up about what made her decide to become 100 percent vegan and revealed it was all because of her pet puffer fish Pablow.

"The reason I started this was because I had a fish that was highly intelligent," she told Jimmy Fallon. "When I would come through the door, and this Blowfish would go to the side and get excited… and one day I went to a sushi restaurant with a few of my friends and they were serving blowfish and I thought, 'You know, this is an intelligent animal…'"

Since then, Miley has been chronicling her vegan lifestyle on Instagram. Along with photos of her many, many pets, including her pet pig Bubba Sue, Miley frequently shares a look at her meals, which are full of vegetables and fruits.

"The luxurious life of a vegetarian in LA… So many good plants/fruits/veggies to eat you ain't gottttta eat dead animals! Everything that goes into my body is aliiiiivvvve! To keeeep ME alive! Love this life," she captioned an up close look at her salad. Under another food shot, Miley wrote, "Vegan life is da bomb! I [heart emoji] cooking."

To complement her healthy and meat-free food choices, the blonde beauty also loves doing yoga and recently revealed she has given up smoking marijuana. "Look at my eyes, look at how white they are," the "Malibu" singer told Us Weekly. "They're clear and open and I can see and all that." No wonder PETA named Miley the "veganest vegan to ever vegan."
