TThere’s a brand-new awards show on the scene, as the People’s Choice Country Awards makes its debut on Thursday, September 28. The event being held at Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry House and fan-voted awards will be handed out to some of country music’s biggest names, in addition to performances and tributes.

Since the ceremony is brand new, fans can’t wait to see what celebrities will be wearing and who will come away style stars or fashion disasters. Along with plenty of sequins and fringe, there should be some looks coming fresh off the runways of the recent fashion weeks going on in New York and Europe, so some new designer looks could be seen for the first time on a red carpet.

The “Fell Outta Love” songstress also donned a pantsuit with a much different approach. Purple and hot pink are never a a good combo and feathery fabric on the lapel and pant legs hems made this look even worse.

The Canadian singer-songwriter went all-in when it came to a classic “country” look with a jean jacket featuring silver fringed and a black cowboy hat. But the ensemble — along with a dark spray tan — was a bit much.
