Influencer Sommer Ray Reveals What’s Next For Her Clothing Line & Her Top Gift Picks For Fitness Fanatics
Instagram booty queen Sommer Ray launched her very first clothing line (which you can buy here!) in November, and her fans are already obsessed with it. Fresh off the heels from her trip to Toronto for the Arts Help design panel to talk about designing her collection, the stunning influencer — who currently has almost 20 million Instagram followers — sat down exclusively with Life & Style on Dec. 18 to reveal what’s next for her brand. Spoiler alert: there are so many cool clothes on the way!
“The way my clothing line is set up, every single month is a completely new theme that drops. So what I dropped the first month will never come back,” she explained. “This month we had more athleisure mixed with athleticwear while my first drop in November was strictly athleticwear. It’s always going to be different; my drop in March is going to be swimwear and then from there I’m going to add denim and jeans and some new things so it’s not just athletic.”
Sommer is going to let her fans determine what her more permanent items will include by seeing what they like the best. “I‘m going to have some staple items and I’m going to move into menswear too,” she explained. “In the beginning stages, it’ll probably be loungey activewear like shorts, sweats, hoodies, tanks, that kind of stuff. Then when we see what the guys like and their response.”
For now, fans have been digging November’s yellow camo look, and her tie-dye from the December drop is already a huge hit. “For next month, I have floral outfits and baseball-themed outfits, and people are really excited about those,” she teased. But what fans love the most about Sommer’s line is the price point. “Girls are loving that my line is very affordable,” she explained. “They expect it to be lower quality because it’s so affordable, but they get it and it’s amazing quality. I could have made it a higher price point, but I wanted it to be affordable and have people of all ages, like my younger fans, being able to buy it.” Her pieces range from just $14.99 to only $34.99, so it truly is accessible to everyone!
While we’re sure Sommer’s line is already at the top of your Christmas list this year, she also shared her fave buys for fitness lovers. “Maybe some booty bands. They’re really in right now, the glute bands,” she mused. “I wouldn’t be mad if someone got me a jump rope or something. Maybe tennis shoes!”
And if you’re hanging around the house in your Sommer Ray activewear and letting your diet fall to the wayside while binging with the fam, Sommer has advice for that, too! “I think around the holidays, you shouldn’t not let yourself eat that food,” she said. “You want to be with family and enjoy yourself. Just stay in the gym, so when you eat those calories you can burn them. And when you can’t work out, just remember to drink a lot of water. People drink a lot of alcohol and your body needs water to digest properly, so make sure you get plenty of water.”
Fans have a lot to look forward to in 2019. On top of getting a new product drop in January, fans will also be able to access a new program on Sommer’s Evolve app. “We have a booty program coming out at the beginning of 2019,” she revealed. “I first came out with a program with them that’s just the foundation of working out, so my first program was about good form in the gym, learning how to work out and being confident. Now, my booty program is in the gym with weights, it’s more advanced.” We can’t wait to give it a try!
