This Miley Cyrus and Sinead O’Connor mix is pretty amazing.Days after the duo got into a heated Twitter war, producer/remixer Robin Skouteris had the awesome idea of mashing up Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” and Sinead’s 1990s classic “Nothing Compares 2 U.”Titled “Nothing Compares to Wrecking Ball,” Skouteris manages to make the two songs sound as one — plus, he puts together a video that feels as though Miley and Sinead set their beef aside for a few minutes and filmed it together. Close-cropped hair: check. Tears galore: check. Up close and personal shots: Check.
The viral video comes on the heels of Sinead’s three open letters to the 20-year-old, where, among other things, she warned Miley against the music business “prostituting” the former child star.Miley wasn’t happy about the songwriter’s actions and decided to respond. She took to Twitter to post a screenshot of Sinead’s tweets from years ago, when the 46-year-old was having mental-health issues, writing:

After performing on the Today show this morning, Matt Lauer asked Miley about the situation. “I think she’s an incredible artist, I think she’s an awesome songwriter and I was really inspired by her for my ‘Wrecking Ball’ video, which is what started the whole thing," she said. "I don’t know how someone can start a fight by saying, ‘Hey I really respect you and I really love what you did.’”Miley continued, “Its all good. You could write as many open letters as you want — that’s really what blogging is. I get open letters every day, it’s nothing too new for me.”
