“She’s lost about 20 pounds,” estimates nutritional therapist Elena Michaels. “Her arms are more toned and muscular— everything’s defined.”
This new toned look may have something to do with the former Dawson's Creek star's new stepped up work out regimen and revamped diet. Not to mention, she’s always on the go in the Big Apple with her daughter Suri, 7.
“She looks refreshed and invigorated,” adds an insider. “I think we’re just starting to see the real Katie.”
One big part of Katie's new routine is eating right. The Batman Begins actress' new diet focuses on combining three major food groups: protein, carbs and fruits or veggies. A carb-protein balance is important to keeping blood sugar at a healthy level.
Aside from working out, Katie winds down with Bikram yoga (practiced in 105 degree temps). She also frequently visits a Korean spa for its relaxing saunas.

“I love Bikram yoga,” she’s said. “I feel like the sweat is good for me.”
The Jack & Jill star is clearly dedicated to fitness, upping her workout to four times a week. She splits her time between running, spinning and Barry’s Bootcamp. “Katie works her a– off!” one boot camp classmate observed.
And it’s definitely working – Katie is one hot mama!
