Jessica Simpson Gushes Over Hubby Eric Johnson While He Holds Newborn Daughter: ‘Hot Dad Alert’
Keeping the spark alive! Being parents to three young children — including a newborn — doesn’t mean that Jessica Simpson and her hubby, Eric Johnson, don’t know how to show each other a little love. On Wednesday, April 17, the proud mama, 38, took to Instagram to gush over her handsome man, 39.
“Hot dad alert,” Jessica captioned an adorable snapshot of Eric holding their 29-day-old daughter, Birdie Mae, in a baby basket. Oh, and of course, the basket was covered with a Fendi blanket … no big deal, right? It only cost $746.00, in case you’re interested in purchasing one for yourself.
Unsurprisingly, fans of the longtime couple were living for the sweet shoutout — save for one hater who attempted to suggest that Jessica’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, is the real “hot dad.” Nice try, troll! Anyway, let’s get back to the positivity, shall we? “Is there anything more attractive than a man with his baby?? Yes, a man, in a suit, holding his baby!” one user commented (and TBH, we couldn’t agree more).
“OK, this is officially goals,” added another. Speaking of goals — fitness goals, that is — the blonde beauty has a few of her own now that she’s officially in post-pregnancy mode. A source exclusively told Life & Style magazine that the singer “hired a personal trainer to put together a strict diet and exercise regimen for her to follow once she gets back on her feet.”
Considering Jessica had quite the trying third pregnancy, including swollen ankles and broken toilet seats, we sure do hope that she takes her time getting back into the gym. Plus, she also has two other kiddos — Maxwell Drew, 6, and Ace Knute Johnson, 5 — to focus on. That should be workout enough, don’t you think?
Either way, it looks like Jessica and Eric are handling parenthood like a couple of pros.
