Christina Anstead Slams Idea That ‘Newborn Life’ Is All ‘Instagram Filters of Perfection’: ‘F That’
Keeping it real! Christina Anstead took to Instagram on Wednesday, October 16, to get candid about mom life, reminding her followers that it’s not a walk in the park.
The 36-year-old shared a selfie with her baby, Hudson, along with a lengthy caption that began with her daughter, Taylor, asking Christina about her appearance. “She said mom, ‘do paparazzi still follow you around?” the mom of three wrote. “And I said, ‘no, not lately. Why?’ She said, ‘well, what if they got a photo of you looking like THAT?'” The Christina on the Coast star went on to tell Tay that “this is how I look and I’m still out and about, this is how new moms look.” Yes, girl!
From there, Christina proceeded to reassure new moms on what the experience is really like. “Newborn life is hard,” she continued. “It’s not all Instagram filters of perfection that people put out there. F that. That’s so misleading for new moms.”
Christina welcomed Hudson on September 6, with her husband, Ant Antead, and since then, she’s been super busy. “I haven’t been online or posting much because my hands are full — literally. Huds is definitely a tough baby. He will sometimes cry for hours straight.”
In addition to taking care of the 1-month-old, Christina also has two kids — Taylor and Brayden — whom she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. “I say this with mad props to all stay at home moms / moms with more than two kids,” she added. “Being outnumbered is no joke.”
To conclude the post, she revealed she heads back to work in two weeks to film for Christina on the Coast. She also gave her best friend, Shannon, a shout-out for being there for her. Ant also showed his support by leaving the blonde beauty a very sweet comment. “You are literally a super human super star!” he wrote. “And doing an unbelievably great job at it too! You amaze me on a daily basis!”
Christina knows to make the best of every situation — even with Tarek following their messy split. The father of two exclusively revealed to Life & Style how he manages to successfully coparent with Christina despite them no longer being an item. “If you remember to always put the kids first, the rest falls into place,” he said in September. That’s some sound advice!
