Thank u, never again? On Jan. 1, Ariana Grande set the record straight about her dating life. After a fan of the singer, 25, questioned if she was seeing anyone, the brunette beauty responded with an answer that can only be described as equal parts depressing and relatable.

“Spoiler for the rest of this year/probably my life: It’s no one,” Ari confessed. “Please refer back to this tweet for future questions.” See? We don’t know whether to laugh or cry. To be fair, though, we’d totally understand if Ariana decided to say single — maybe not forever, but at least for the next 365 days. After all, she hasn’t exactly had the best luck when it comes to love.

In fact, she’s still paying for her sudden split from SNL comedian Pete Davidson. The 25-year-old has continued to harp on their breakup, especially if there’s an audience in front of him. Most recently, he opened up about his former flame during a stand up skit in Boston, MA, on New Year’s Eve.

“That s–t came out before I had to put on a f–king duck hat and be like, ‘derrp here’s the pizza!’ So all my friends were there. It was a sad day. We didn’t know it was going to happen,” Pete quipped, referring to the day Ari released “thank u, next.”

He went on to remark that while most songstresses keep the names of their exes private, that Ariana is a “diabolical genius” for naming all of them in a single track. Of course, we doubt Pete meant any harm. However, we’re thinking Ariana would like to leave their whole debacle in 2018. It’s time to move on, man. Considering Ariana admitted to the world that he has a big, er, well, you know, we highly doubt he’ll have any problem finding a new girlfriend.
